What's Inside?
Each of our models (Journey, Utopia, Divini Luxe) use premium quality, high density foams for maximum durability and support. The top layer on the Utopia and Divini Luxe utilize the premier comfort layer available on the market today. It is a special “Dual Phase Change” foam which works at the molecular level to provide the best of all worlds for temperature regulation, comfort, and spinal support. Every mattress is proudly handcrafted in Southern California, USA.
We build them right here in our own facility, using traditional craftsmanship and premium materials — no outsourcing, no overseas production.
What Sizes Do You Offer? Do You Make Custom Sizes?
The better question would be, what size can’t we make. Our custom sizing wizard will allow pretty much any size you could possibly need. If it falls outside of the preset parameters, it will refer you to call our customer service team, where we can discuss with you your specific needs.
We specialize in RV-specific sizes like Short Queen (60×75″), RV Queen (60×74″), and irregular shapes.”

How Much Does It Weigh?
Lighter than many residential mattresses, ideal for RVs to help with weight distribution and towing.

How Much Weight Will It Support?
It depends on what size and thickness you order, but because we use high density foams and latex, your mattress will hold up and perform as good or better than other mattresses. High-density foams support 500+ lbs easily per side in queen sizes; great for couples. Always use proper platform support.

Do you offer cooling technology?
Yes—cooling is built into multiple layers of our mattresses.
At the core, our Dual Phase Change Gel memory foam actively regulates temperature by absorbing excess body heat when you warm up and releasing it as you cool down, helping maintain a more balanced sleep environment throughout the night.
On top of that, our Utopia and Divini models feature an upgraded, premium outer ticking engineered with advanced “cool-to-the-touch” fibers. These high-conductivity fabrics are designed to immediately pull heat away from your body on contact, creating a noticeably cooler surface from the moment you lie down.
The result is a dual-effect system:
- Instant cooling from the cover
- Ongoing temperature regulation from the foam beneath
Which Fire Safety Standards Does The Mattress Meet?
Our mattress contains a fire barrier which works by interrupting the combustion process in the event of a fire to meet the requirements of the Federal Flammability Standard 16 CFR Part 1633 and 1632. The barrier functions to smother and dampen the flames by causing a layer of char to form, which prevents oxygen from feeding the fire and preventing the flames from reaching the foam and spreading.
Does the Mattress Contain Fiberglass?
NO! Our mattresses do not contain fiberglass. All mattresses sold in the United States are required to pass a Federal Flammability Standard and many of them use a fire barrier which contains fiberglass in order to pass that standard. Our fire barrier is a knit blend of polyester and cotton, which has been treated with a food grade salt. This specially crafted barrier enhances the mattress with exceptional softness, breathability, and stretchability, contributing to its elite comfort and superior temperature regulating features. Rest assured, our mattress prioritizes your safety without compromising on luxurious comfort.
Are There Any Chemicals Used In The Fire Barrier?
We do NOT treat our mattresses with any chemicals. The fire barrier used is an inherently retardant fabric and functions without the aid of fire retardant chemicals, and there is NO fiberglass used in our mattresses or fire barrier materials.
Will your mattress work with adjustable bases, Murphy beds, or hinged platforms?
Yes. Our mattresses are designed to be highly flexible and perform well on adjustable bases, typically accommodating articulation up to about 40° without compromising comfort or durability.
- For Murphy beds or platforms that fold or hinge, we offer custom horizontal hinge options. You can specify the hinge location (ie: measured from the foot of the mattress) so it aligns perfectly with your frame or murphy bed storage requirements.
- We take a better approach to hinged and Murphy mattresses. Instead of using a simple piece of fabric as a hinge between two separate sections, we extend the top layer of padding continuously across the entire mattress.
This seamless construction eliminates the annoying “gap” or “dip” you feel with most hinged mattresses. The top padding layer, combined with the durable outer cover, and a couple of custom strengthening features inside the mattress, creates a hinge allowing the mattress to fold, but greatly minimizes, almost eliminates the effect of the split between the two sections of mattress, so the mattress feels just like a regular mattress when it’s lying flat. You get the comfort of a traditional mattress with the space-saving convenience of a Murphy bed.
How are your mattresses different from standard RV or home mattresses?
Most factory RV mattresses are designed to be inexpensive, not long-lasting. They typically use lower-quality foams that compress and lose support quickly, especially under the stress of travel and changing climates. Our mattresses are purpose-built for RV use, using high-density, performance-grade foams that resist sagging, enhance airflow for cooler sleep, and provide long lasting support, so your comfort doesn’t take a back seat to the road.
What kind of mattress building experience do you have?
We don’t mean to brag, but we’ve been doing this for many many years, since 1980 to be exact. During this time, we’ve seen it all. Some things work well, some work great, and some just don’t work at all. We believe it’s more important to make a quality mattress than it is to make one that just looks pretty in order to “fit into a price point”. Our philosophy has allowed us to earn and maintain our reputation for over 45 years.

How long does the refund take to process?
Once we receive the returned mattress, we will process your refund within 7 days to the account used for the original purchase.
What items are covered?
Our 100 night sleep covers all mattresses, standard sizes and custom sizes. The 100 night trial DOES NOT cover our other products like Quilted Mattress Protectors, Dream Collection Sheets, or HyPUR-Flo products.

How much is shipping?
Shipping is free to any UPS deliverable address in the contiguous United States.

How long does it take to ship?
Most mattress orders are received in about 2 weeks or so, give or take a few days depending on your location. Custom sheets and mattress protectors are usually received in about 2-3 weeks. Have an upcoming trip that you need it by? Let our team know and we’ll be happy to move your order up our production schedule to accommodate when possible!
Where can I ship to?
Free shipping applies to orders shipped to the contiguous United States. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is available for an additional charge which will be noted before checkout.
Mattresses are compressed/rolled for easy FedEx or UPS delivery. We can ship to any UPS deliverable location including your RV location if address accepts packages.
How big is the box?
Most mattresses arrive in a box sized 16″ x 16″ x 41″.
How do I measure for the perfect fit?
Remove old mattress and measure the platform (not the old mattress, which may have shrunk and does not have reliably measurable edges). Measure width and length and round to the nearest ½”. Note any rounded corners (radius), angled cuts, notches, or differences in thickness (thickness options are available between 4” and 10”, in full one inch increments). Use our custom sizing wizard or send photos for verification (help@tochta.com). Round down slightly for tight fits. When measuring a “wall to wall” space, many people make the mattress about 1” smaller to allow about ½” of wiggle room around the edges for sheets and other bedding.
What if my RV mattress has rounded corners or cutouts?
No problem! Our online sizing wizard will let you customize those to the size you need, or you can email us for help if needed (help@tochta.com)
Can I change/cancel my order?
Yes, within 24 hours (before production) with no fee. Contact customer service quickly.
What if I order the wrong size?
Measure carefully! Wrong measurements are the customer’s responsibility. Please call or email us for help. We’re happy to help figure out the exact size you need!
Do you offer accessories?
YES! We offer custom sized mattress protectors, sheets, and our HyPUR-Flo mattress underlayment.
How do you unpackage it?
Your new TOCHTA mattress is compressed and rolled, then packaged in a box, before being shipped directly to you. Take the box to the location you wish to open your mattress. Remove the compressed mattress from the box, and carefully cut open the outer plastic wrapping of your mattress (Scissors or a basic letter opener works great for this step, but be sure to be extra careful not to cut or damage the mattress inside!). After the outer plastic has been removed, position the mattress where you want it (black side is the bottom) and carefully cut or tear away the plastic covering on your mattress. Once you puncture that inner seal it will immediately begin to expand in place. Once you’ve removed the plastic, position your mattress in its place and allow it to fully expand. It will be fully expanded and ready to use within minutes!
Are there any odors from being boxed?
There are no odors or smells any different than those you would encounter when buying a new couch or a new car. Since our beds are made to order, they are only boxed for a short amount of time and sent to you immediately, unlike other companies which store them warehouses or have them shipped from overseas, where they acquire container smells and become stale.
Our beds use only CertiPUR-US® foams so you can be rest assured there are no harmful chemicals such as formaldehyde, ozone depletes, heavy metals, and certain flame retardants. These foams meet CertiPUR-US® program standards for content and emissions and are analyzed by independent, accredited testing laboratories.
Setup, Unpackaging & Initial Use

- How long before I can sleep on it? Ready in minutes, with full expansion in about an hour (up to 24-48 hours in cold).
- Will there be any odor when I receive my mattress?
Nothing different than a light “new product” scent when your mattress first arrives, similar to opening any freshly made item, but it’s clean and mild, and typically fades quickly.
Because our mattresses are all made to order, here in the USA using CertiPUR-US® certified foams, water-based adhesives (no harsh solvents), and materials sourced from trusted local suppliers, they don’t carry the strong chemical odors often associated with mass-produced, imported mattresses.
Unlike products that are compressed overseas, stored in containers, and warehoused for long periods, our mattresses are freshly built and shipped directly to you. That means no prolonged off-gassing, just a fresh, ready-to-enjoy mattress that settles in within minutes.
Is there a break-in period?
Yes and it’s completely normal. Most people need at least 1–2 weeks (sometimes a little longer) for their body to fully adjust to a new mattress.
If your previous mattress was worn or sagging, your body likely adapted to that support over time. When you switch to a properly supportive surface, it can feel different at first, sometimes firmer or even softer than expected. That doesn’t mean it’s wrong; it just means your body is recalibrating to better alignment.
Give it a little time. As your muscles and joints settle into proper support, most people begin to notice improved comfort and a more restful sleep from the elite layers in our mattress, often discovering a level of support and comfort they didn’t realize they were missing.
How to prevent moisture and mold in an RV?
RVs are prone to mold and mildew growth due to their compact, often airtight design, temperature swings (warm body heat vs. cold night air or storage), and humidity from cooking, showers, and breathing. One of the biggest hidden dangers is moisture that builds up underneath the mattress on the plywood or platform base. This condensation is hard to see until mold appears on the bottom of your mattress or the bed base, often after it has already started damaging your bedding.
To protect your investment:
- Use a high-quality waterproof mattress protector on top to block spills, sweat, and body moisture from entering the mattress. (Tochta’s DryTech waterproof protector)
- Add our HyPUR-Flo Moisture Protection underlayment underneath. It elevates your mattress about ½ inch, creating unobstructed airflow so moisture can evaporate instead of being trapped against the platform and soaking into the mattress.
- Ensure good overall RV ventilation. Run roof vents, use a dehumidifier (especially in humid climates or during storage), and allow air to circulate under and around the bed when possible.
- Periodically lift the mattress to inspect and air out the underside, particularly after long periods of non-use.
