for Measuring Your Truck Bed
There’s an easy 4-step process to measure your truck bed space:
- Step 1: Measure the length—from the bulkhead or wall behind the cab to the end of the truck bed.
- Step 2: Measure the width—from across the truck bed at its widest point.
- Step 3: Determine which thickness best suits your space (Any thickness between 4″ and 10″, in full one inch increments). 8″ thick is the most popular thickness.
In situations where there is a wall to wall measurement, most people will make the mattress 1″ smaller in order to allow about 1/2″ of wiggle room around the edges for sheets and other bedding.
